What are IITs?
IITs: Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the premier engineering institutes in India. They are not tied to any particular state but are part of the national system.
How do I study at an IIT?
Entrance Exams: JEE Main: First, you need to clear an exam called JEE Main and JEE Advanced: If you have performed well in JEE Main, you can appear for another exam called JEE Advanced.
Admission: Education: You must have completed or are currently studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th grade. Age Limit: Generally, you must be below 25 years of age, but there are exceptions.
Application:
Registration and Application: You must apply online for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

Preparation:
Study: The exam is tough so it is important to study hard. Take private tutoring sessions and use good study materials.
Allow: Counselling: After clearing JEE Advanced, you go through a process called counselling to get a seat in one of the IITs.
