Basically vocational studies are those having direct application to the day to day conduct of a specific occupation. As per your question statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with data collection , organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation. Applying statistics also deals with industrial and social problems. That is why statistics obviously a technical subject as well as vocational.
