Yes, definitely total number of students that are going to appear in any entrance exam like COMEDK affects the cutoff of different branches in different engineering colleges and it increases if more students appears for the entrance exam.

We understand your concern, Yes, you are right, the more the number of students appear for any given entrance exam, the higher will be the difference in cutoff and more will be the competition as everyone want a place in the top colleges. It get even more difficult to score well and get a good rank.
