Yes the eligibility criteria states that a candidate must have Minimum 75 percent aggregate marks in class 12th or be in the top 20 percenile to qualify for any NITs or IITs, under general category.



However, this criteria is relaxed to 65 percwnt for SC/ST/PWD category.



One must not be more than 24 years of age or should be born after 1st October, 1993.



For all NITs , you simply require only JEE Mains, whereas for IITs you shall require both viz. JEE mains and Advanced.



If you dont qualify for aboce criteria, youcan give improvement exam in any one or more subjects such that your overall score then becomes more than 75 percent on aggregate.



For other colleges, like VJTI , you can simply take Admissions without JEE, and you dont need to have 75 percent marks rule over there.
