You can appear for the CLAT exam if you are currently studying in class 12. You'll be required to deposit your class 12 certificate by the end of September 2019 after you qualify the same.

You do not require the 12th certificate to give your CLAT entrance after 12th exams. You can choose the option saying 'applied this year' or something similar to it, while filling the aplication form for CLAT. Although once you are done with the exam the results of the same would come past your 12th results and then while getting admissions in colleges you would require the 12th certificate as well as the CLAT score sheet.
