hii,
as i am a hindu studying in AMU, I can assure you that you will not feel anything different here. it is also an integral part of india like other universities. Just focus on your studies and clear entrance exams of AMU and Don't listen to what other people say.
you will have religious liberty and freedom to do whatever you want.
