is the NEXT exam confirmed for Indian medical graduates?
Yes , NEXT is confirmed for Indian medical graduates
All the medical graduates in India are supposed to give NEXT exam for pursuing post-graduation from the year 2022, so the first batch to be appearing for NEXT would be 2017 batch most likely.
It is conducted in 2 parts : NEXT 1 & NEXT 2
• NEXT 1 is completely objective and an online exam which will be held on three days with 120 mcqs pre-lunch and 60 mcqs post lunch every day .
So 180 mcqs every day
For 3 days---- 3 × 180 = 540 mcqs
The subject vise division of mcqs is mentioned in detail in the below attached notice sent by INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION.
• If you pass NEXT 1 —— you can begin your internship , if you Fail- you can't start your internship and you should attend NEXT 1 exam again after 1 year
• NEXT 2 is a practical exam where our clinical knowledge will be assessed
• NEXT 1 exam scores are valid for 2 years and PG seat will be allotted based on NEXT 1 scores
Hope you got your answer.
