Is the number of seats for general category students is more than that of OBC/ST&SC?

Dear Namra,

As per the law, the reserved seats cannot go above 49% of the total seats, so anywhere, in whatever context be, the number of reserved seats cannot exceed general category seats. However, remember that general is not a reserved category, so if students from reserved category scores good and as per their scores they are able to attain the general seat, they are given admission under general category.

Hope it answers.

All the best!
