CLAT UG is for UG courses related to law such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB and other UG courses. The syllabus for CLAT UG covers topics such as

- Current affairs
The test itself is of a 150 marks and spans over a duration of 2 hours.
CLAT PG is for the LLM course and for those who wish to pursue a master's degree in Law. The syllabus for CLAT PG covers topics such as
- Constitutional Law
- Contracts
- Criminal law
- International law
- IPR
- Jurisprudence etc.
The test CLAT PG is of 100 marks and spans over 2 hours. As compared to CLAT UG, CLAT PG consists of 2 subjective type questions as well with each question carrying 25 marks.

The common law admission test or it is a national level entrance examination for undergraduate and postgraduate law courses in some universities and colleges. Obviously the UG and PG syllabus are quite different. UG syllabus includes English language current affairs legal reasoning logical reasoning quantitative techniques. Another hand the PG syllabus includes various court decisions summarising a passage descriptive essay writing etc.
