There is no minimum percentage required to appear in JEE Main. You must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. But to get admission in IITs/NITS/GFTIs you must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 75% marks of you belong to general category or 65% marks if you belong to SC/ST category. This is the eligibility criteria as of now.

There is no criteria for giving the exams for JEE this year,but u have to work hard for getting better institute in india.
The HRD minister has tweeted the decision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) to relax the eligibility criterion for JEE Advanced 2020 qualified candidates for IIT admissions. The decision was taken in a meeting between the JAB representatives and MHRD officials. The relaxation will be applicable only to students who have qualified JEE Advanced 2020 and for IIT admissions.
JEE Advanced 2020 will be held on September 27. It is a computer based test for admissions to the B.Tech and dual degree/ integrated engineering programmes in 23 Indian Institutes of Technology. IIT Delhi is the organizing institute for JEE Advanced 2020.
For admissions to #IITs , apart from qualifying the #JEE (Advanced), the eligibility was to secure either minimum score of 75% marks in class XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations. @HRDMinistry @PIB_India @MIB_India @DDNewslive
