is there a lateral enter for the students who wants to do mca for 2 years...

Surely you can do MCA in 2 years by taking lateral entry admission (direct 2nd year ) but it is only allowed for candidates who have completed Graduation in BCA /BCS..
Other Graduates have to take admission to 1st year only.. No lateral entry allowed for graduation from other field like BSC, BA, BCOM, BBA..
MCA full course of 3yrs is better than 2yrs MCA.
By the previous degree you are decided to take the lateral entry or not
