is there a requirement to give an entrance exam for admission in nursing ug?

It seems that your query is for B.Sc. Nursing, if not then please correct me in the comment section below.

For admission in B.Sc. Nursing course you can appear for entrance examination such as NEET but however it is not mandatory for all institutions because as per the order of Government of India, the NEET UG scores now can be utilized by the respective institutions for admission to B.Sc. Nursing course but it is not mandatory for any institutions to follow. However in some institutions like BHU, in Maharashtra and in some other states as well the admission would be taken on the basis of NEET UG score but still there are various institutions that take admission either on the basis of their own entrance examination or using your 10+2 score, so you need to check out the admission criteria for each and every institute in which you are seeking admission.
