Yes, Assam University has a five-year PhD programme in 38 specialisations as well as an MPhil programme in 27 specialisations. Candidates for either of the two programmes are chosen based on an entrance test administered by the University, followed by a PI round. Candidates with a PG degree from Assam University and a valid UGC-NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE score are also eligible to apply.
