The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune, provides various reimbursement schemes for SC (scheduled caste), ST (scheduled tribes), OBC (other backward classes), and NT (nomadic tribes) candidates based on merit and total family income. The MHRD provides funding for these scholarships or fellowships (Ministry of Human Resources and Development). Many state government schemes are also available to students from that state. Students can also apply for eligible scholarships and schemes through the National Scholarship Portal, which is run by the Government of India's various departments/ministries.
