Hi Mahima Pandya,
Biotechnology is considered to be one of the emerging fields in terms of career. There is a demand in biotech industry in India as well. If you apply for BSc course, then you can opt for higher studies and then can do research via PhD or MSc. If you do BTech, then the career options are almost the same. The only difference is in BTech you will have physics and mathematics whereas in BSc in Biotech, you will only have to deal with biology. The Lovely Professional University also offers scholarships for Biotech students. A biotechnologist earns up to 5-6 lakhs.
However, other courses like engineering and medical have higher scope as compared to Biotechnology. Only if you are interested in research then yu can opt for this course.
