Is there any admissions on merit basis or direct admissions in this college??

Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, affiliated with TNAU, Chennai offers a number of courses at UG, PG and PhD level. For each level, admission takes place on the basis of qualifying marks of the concerned examination with marks secured in the conducted entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria pf different programs-

For BTech- Candidate should have passed 10+2 with minimum 55% marks and appeared in JEE Mains(Paper-II)

For MTech- Candidate should have passed BE or B.Tech degree in either of these disciplines Agricultural Engineering/ Food Process Engineering /Agricultural and Food Engineering / Food Processing and Preservation Technology / Food Technology and Management / Food Technology /Chemical Engineering/ Dairy Engineering with minimum 70% aggregate marks

(70% weigtage is given to entrance exam and 30% to merit of qualifying exam)

For PhD- Candidates who have completed ME or M.Tech course with minimum 70% marks in disciplines like Post Harvest Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Agricultural and Food Engineering/ Food Science and Technology/ Dairy and Food Engineering/ Agricultural Process Engineering/ Chemical Engineering are eligible to apply. Admission is based on merit in Post-Graduation and marks obtained in Written Test and Interview round.
