There is no upper age limit set for doing B.tech in engineering colleges as such but the older you are ,the more difficult it gets. The reason being firstly you have to have a good reason for the gap years between the class 12 and your B.tech unless doing some other degree or diploma course.

Secondly your peers would be younger than you and thus can be given more priority over you for placement.

So think accordingly.
