If we talk about Karnataka, there are 38,843 confirmed cases at present out of which 22,746 are active cases. Also, state Health Minister B Sriramulu said that the number of cases in the state are expected to double in the coming 15-20 days. If it happens then travelling of students for the exam and appearing for it at exam centres can be very dangerous. It means it won’t be possible to conduct KCET 2020 as per the schedule on July 30 and 31 and it also strengthens the point the exam may get postponed further. However, the final decision on the postponement or cancellation of KCET 2020 will depend on the conditions due to COVID-19.

Can KCET 2020 get cancelled?

If we talk about the cancellation of KCET 2020, there are very less chances of cancellation of the exam. However, many exams have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation, so the possibility of cancellation of KCET 2020 cannot be denied. If KCET 2020 is cancelled like SRMJEEE , VITEEE , etc then the admission shall be based on the marks secured by the candidates in 2nd PUC/10+2 examinations.
