Hi aspirant

The cutoffs are released by the colleges independently and there is no assurity of fall in cutoffs of colleges, the probability is 50:50. It depends completely on the College and the no. Of seats left in the course offered.

In general terms all du Colleges are equivalent in terms of education, faculties and facilities.

You can choose any College available and later change according to the upcoming cutoffs.

All the best

Hey Pari Jain!

Nice to see you again.

Sorry to say, but this year the cutoffs of Delhi University are likely to be higher than the previous year because of the number of high scorers in the final exam of CBSE. The CBSE result is definitely going to impact the admission process going on for undergraduate program at the University of Delhi and at Ambedkar University .

For Hindu, Hansraj and Venketeshwar,  the cutoff for all the programs can hike upto.5%-1%.

The situation for the admission may be extremely critical in the humanities department as in this department there are 21 out of the 23 all India top three rankers.

This year the students scoring between 90% to 95% have increased by 21,700 as compared to the results of the previous year. Students this year scoring between 95% to 100% have increased to 17,690, which is a big jump of 12,737 . So this year it is being expected that there will be a tough competition between the students especially between the students from the humanities department.

There have been many students who have managed to get the score of perfect 100. There are 1818 students who have scored perfect 100 in economics and there are 660 students in political science , 659 students in psychology and 577 in history .

Two of the toppers Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora scored 499 out of 500, said that they want to study psychology from DU.

Arora said that she wants to apply for St. Stephens, Jesus and Mary College and Lady Shri Ram . There are some of the colleges which are planning to start with the first cut off while there are many other colleges which are waiting for the applicants they will receive.

A senior official from LSR said that there are many of the students who are dreaming about this college so it is expected that the cutoffs will definitely go higher than previous years. The principal of the college said that the final decision of the cutoffs will depend on the number of application forms they will be receiving.

There were many other principals as well who agreed that the DU cutoff is going to depend on the number of application forms received by the college respectively. The principal of Miranda House Bijayalaxmi Nanda said that as the applications for the students is centralized so to make out the estimate of application form is very difficult.

The principal of SRCC , Ms. Simrit Kaur said that they have to wait to receive the further information related to the specific number, although DU has been asking colleges for two years that they need to plan a reasonable cut off list.

As DU first cutoff has been released on 27th June ,you can check out your cutoff in the given website link below :

hope this information is helpful.please upvote.

Thank you and good luck.

Hey pariThat depends on number of seats. Usually, these top colleges have less number of seats in second cut off. It's better to secure a seat in the  college you are getting now. Gargi is good college.

Fall of cutoff upto 96.5 It's highly unpredictable. It's difficult though. These top colleges are in North campus. And the top most. It may fall down later, but it is very *doubtful* to say that.Every other topper targets these top colleges. And it's wise to take admission in first cut off. You can change later, if you finds a better one.
