No,that not true . supreme court of india states that the NIOS education are recognised by government open board and recognised by all university and education institutions
Presently NIOS students can participate in neet exam.
They are eligible for neet examination,NIOS students must pass 12th from board in pcb stream in 50% .
The minimum age limit should be 18 years.

In the recent verdict of supreme court, NIOS students are allowed to give NEET. They have been given the chance to write the exam and take admissions in government as well as private colleges in all the courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS or VETERINARY.
