Shreyas, almost all the engineering college will follow the same criteria for shifting the branch i.e

• Your CGPA should be more than 8.5
• Proper and valid reason for shifting the branch
• Vacant seat in the respective branch in which you wish to shift for

Based upon these verifications only they might will gonna shift you to your preferable branch.

It is very very difficult To change the field after 1 year in BITs Pilani..You should have to Be in Top 5 students Among the whole Class..It means Your CGPA should be More than 9.5 After 1 year..

It should be Recommanded that please don't Join The college with the thinking of changing the field After 1 year..Because It is near to impossible
