hi,

see delhi university is one of the largest university in  india. every year numerous students apply for various courses in delhi university. however there is specific eligibility criteria along with additional criteria which need to maintain while applying. also there is specific rules for calculating the best of 4 marks, admission in b.sc , b.a or b.com (//b.com) course is done by 12th score basis. you did not mention which course you want to apply. however I have  mentioned one rules for b.a course. however if you want to change stream it would result deduction of 2-2.5% marks deduction as per the criteria.

B.A. (Hons.) English- eligibility criteria is candidates must secure an  aggregate of 55% marks or more in English and combination of three best other subjects from among the following list B. TAKING any one language subjects (core/elective) from List A, Economics, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology are in list B. Inclusion of any other subject from List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, with a maximum net deduction of 2%. Inclusion of any subject other than those in List A and List B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate of the Best Four.

Manisha, as per recent updates,  there is No deduction of marks on changing streams: The varsity has decided to withdraw the policy of deducting 5 per cent marks for students who changed their stream to apply for BA courses. Dean of admissions, Shobha Bagai said, “The rule was based on the belief that science students score more than humanities and would take a major chunk of seats in BA programmes which are meant for humanities students. However, now that all studies are going interdisciplinary, the rule does not hold any ground. We also wish to make the entire admission process smooth. Thus, we have requested colleges to not deduct any marks, most of the colleges have agreed to this as well.”
