Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.
MHT (Maharashtra common entrance test) is held for the admission into various courses such as medical, engineering and agriculture classes as well as law and management courses and MCA classes in the state of Maharashtra. For each of the courses, there are different tests. Medical, engineering, and agriculture programs may benefit from MHT-CET.
Defending the Nation's Quota:
Dental/Ayurved/Unani Colleges and Government/Municipal Corporation/Government Aided Medical and some allied health science courses are reserved for children of Defence Service Personnel and Ex-Defence personnel including those killed or permanently disabled in action for MHT CET, 5 percent of total seats subject to a maximum of 5 seats each.
Quotas for the military can be divided into the following categories:
For quota reasons, there are three types of defense. The following are some examples:
Sons, daughters, and spouses of former defense service personnel who reside in Maharashtra are included in this group.
Def2: This group includes the children, spouses, and parents of active-duty military soldiers stationed in Maharashtra.
Candidates who want to claim the defense quota reservation for Def-1 and Def-2 seats must meet the requirements listed below:
A person who has been a member of the Indian Armed Forces for at least five years and has been subject to the Indian Army Act, Indian Navy Act, or Indian Air Force Act is eligible to apply. This includes an ex-serviceman who has retired from such service or was permanently disabled/killed in action. Candidate must receive a certificate from the issuing authorities or Zilla Sainik Board in Maharashtra in order to claim a seat under this category.
Defense service members who are disabled or killed in action may be eligible for an exception from the five-year active duty requirement. Restriction will be granted only upon presentation of a certificate proving the incapacity or death in question.
Candidate must present the following documents in order to be considered for a position in the Def-1 or Def-2 category:
the candidate's parent's military service identification card,
Proof of Maharashtra residency certificate
District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate/Addl. District Magistrate or Tehsildar should issue the domicile certificate.
There would be no discrimination against candidates from Def-1 and Def-2 categories who have earned their SSS/HSC diplomas from states other than Maharashtra.
the son/daughter/spouse of an active-duty military service member who has been moved to Maharashtra State from outside Maharashtra and who is not a resident of the state must be included in the definition of def3
To be eligible for the defense quota reservation for Def-3 seats, a candidate must meet the following requirements:
A Defence Service member who is not a resident of Maharashtra but has been moved to the state in the public interest may submit a Preference Form before the deadline.
In order to fill out the Preference Form, a member of the Indian Defense Forces must be serving in the region of Maharashtra where the candidate is applying for a position on the last day of submission.
To be eligible, the individual must have passed the entrance exam.
A certificate in proforma issued by the issuing authority, as well as all necessary and acceptable verification for the conditions listed above, must be provided.
Children of civilian employees of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force are not subject to this restriction.
