Hello,
There is not much difference in Computer science engineering and Information technology in subject wise they have similar subjects for the start.
But IT is more of a installation and maintenance of computer systems, operating systems , network and information data base. Where as computer science is more about software development, coding, and designing and testing software.

Hi,
There is a slight difference between cse and it. Most of the colleges have seperate branches as well. In computer science courses usually include introduction to programming, introduction to algorithms and data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, computer networks, parallel computing, embedded systems, algorithms design, circuit analysis and electronics, digital logic and processor design, computer graphics, cloud etc.
The field of information technology (IT) covers the design, administration and support of computer and telecommunications systems. Some of the positions in this field include database and network administrators, computer support specialists, computer scientists.
In case of placement, usually IT companies hire both cse and it students.
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well.
According to your question, yes obviously there is a basic basic difference in between CSE and IT. The main difference is that CSE deals with falicitation of application in computer while IT deals with computing technology. This difference is the basic concept between these two of them. While you will see in your last year placement will be same as in both in CSE as well as IT.
Hope this information helps you out. Thank you.
