Is there any difference between ip and computer?is they are really same. I had heard some talkings that these two are different. Is it true
IP(Informatics Practices) is batter than cs
Because it concentrates on Programming rather than Theoretical concepts which is the main feature of Ip. CS is an outdated subject.IP is equally useful for both , Science and Commerce . With new syllabus Ip is far batter than CS.
IP is scoring than CS in CBSE board exams.
Hi Affiya,
IP stands for Information Practice and Computer science is not the same subject as IP. Often students get confused between both of these but there is a difference in these two subjects and that difference is of the Programming Language that is used in teaching computer.
In Computer science, the language being taught is
C++
whereas in Information Practice it is
Java.
Both of these languages are quite popular languages however, Java is dominating over C++ for its portability and machine independence. Also,
computer science is easy as compared to IP as Java is hard to learn as compared to C++
.
It is up to you which language you want to study and also how much you think you can understand the concept of Programming. There is no such thing as good or bad programming language. All programming languages have their applications and there are certain things which are beneficial only if done in one particular language.
If you want to choose, I would suggest you should go for Information Practice as Java is more popular and more job oriented programming language and will help you a lot if you are planning to do B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.
Hope this solves your query.
Thank You.
Basically the difference is that Computer Science has C++ for programming, whereas IP has JAVA language, typically Netbeans IDE (Read IP is easier than CS).
This is meant to be a textbook for theInformatics Practicessubject that is part of CBSE (India) curriculum. Learning Objectives. To gain working knowledge of a computer system and peripherals. To understand the application development process.
Hope this helps
Hello Alfiya
If you want to score more, with less effort then go with Information Practices. Because if you know basic programming, then you don't need to solve complex problems here. You can score 90+ easily.
In CS, there are a lot of concepts to learn and the syllabus is a lot more tough than IP. But you'll learn the concept which may help you in future.
Long answer short:
Want to score in 11-12th only, choose IP,
Wanna choose computer science in B. Tech or B. Sc, then you need a strong base, and I'd recommend CS.
