Is there any difference for bsc forestry, Agri, horti, provide about this
Hello Koramutla,
Yes, though they seem interrelated, each of the course is different in their approach and specialization.
If you choose B.Sc. Horticulture you will be studying Fruit Science, Vegetable Crops, Floriculture & Landscaping in depth as compared to B.Sc. Agriculture in which you will study subjects like Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Crop Science, Agricultural Economics and Marketing, Agricultural Engineering along with Horticulture subject. In B.Sc. Forestry you will study subjects like forest biology, forest products.
So as their name suggests, all three courses offer you an opportunity to specialize though you can see Horticulture as an extension of B.Sc. Agriculture with a focused approach to the study of flowers, vegetables, fruits.
There is also the time duration difference as B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Sc. Forestry are 4-year undergraduate degrees while B.Sc. Horticulture is a 3-year course.
Remember, all courses have their own scope and job opportunities and depend on your interest.
Hope this answers your query, feel free to ask for more info.
