Mount Carmel College, Bangalore is a women's college in Vasanth Nagar of Bangalore, Karnataka, India that was established on 7 July 1948. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college is 'A+' accredited by NAAC and was awarded Five Stars by NAAC.
The admission policy ensures special consideration to the differently abled, economically backward, scheduled castes and tribes, backward communities and the catholic minority. Except for these special categories, the rest of the seats are allotted purely on merit.
Admissions Procedure- Application forms for admission for the academic year 2019-2020 will be available ONLINE for PG Programmes & UG Programmes from 1st March 2019 .
- Applications are accepted online only.
- Fees for application to be paid through the Payment Gateway (Online Payment)
- Application fee for UG Programmes: Rs. 500/ and PG Programmes: Rs. 700/
- Fees should be paid on the day of the interview. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- Students have to study the language (Second language) studied at the last qualifying examination.
- A soft copy of the applicant’s recent passport size photo and signature is mandatory to be uploaded on the application. (Less than 100 KB)
- Admission for B.Com courses based on merit.
- Admission for BBA and Communication Studies Programmes will be based on Entrance examination (For Further Details check the respective Department Page on Website )
- BCA Admissions – walk-in interview after the announcement of II PUC Results (Maths background Compulsory at the PUC / +2 /equivalent course)
- B.A & B.Sc walk-in interview after the announcement of Results II PUC Results
- Admission to all PG courses is based on merit
- Admission to B.Com & B.Voc courses is done on the basis of marks in 10+2.
- In case of BA, B.Sc and BCA courses, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview round on the basis of their marks in class XII.
- For BBA course, the college conducts a separate written test (MCMAT) followed by GD and interview.
- Admission to MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA courses is offered on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination.
- PG Diploma and PG Diploma (Evening) admissions are also based on merit.
- MCC, Bangalore also offers admission to Ph.D. on the basis of marks in college-based written test followed by an interview.
- Application to all the courses will be closed automatically once the seats will be filled.
