is there any entrance exam for admission in Delhi University for English honours (UG)? Or is it according to board marks?

hey,

delhi university provides admission for the course B.A english hons to the students on the basis of merit they release every year, however the departments of english , delhi university conducts an entrance test every year that is DU CATE examination , there are 12 affiliated colleges of the university which conduct this entrance exam , rest all the colleges do offer admission on the basis of merit for the same course.
