As in general therevis no exam for becoming a food scientist,all you need to do is hold a bachelors and masters degree in food technology and then apply for ph.d/scientist degree.Apart from that if you want to become a certified food technology specialist then there are various institutions/organisations providing it.

Though there are no 'military scientist' position in Indian army,once can serve army by becoming a scientist.All you need to do is to get a descent GATE score and then get interview call from DRDO.There will be hell lot of competition for this position.But it will be worth it.
