Hey Sujitha ,
Greetings!

Undoubtedly , Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) , Mumbai is one of the best colleges in India to opt for Btech in Chemical Engineering .
However , candidates seeking admission to Engineering/Technology courses are required to appear in JEE Mains conducted by CBSE .

Hi Again! If you are sure that you want to pursue a career in Chemical Engineering then ICT should be the choice for you. The professors at the institute are very intellectual and over 80% them posses a PhD. They reside in the Institute because they have pure love for research and teaching. They also work as Consultants to some of the top Chemical Companies all over the globe and have connections with the best Universities outside as well as within the country. Most importantaly, they are very helpful and easily accessible. And of course, with the tag of ICT under your name, you will need no further introduction in the Chemical Industry. However, if you're not sure about your interests or intend to divert from the Chemical Industry and take up a managerial position ahead in your life, you should join IIT. The IITs have humongous reach across the world and if it is IIT-B then it's a cherry on the cake. If you are likely to take up consultancy after your MBA, some of the top firms check your graduation acads and also where you get them from. Inspite of ICT being a very reputed college itself, it is only restricted to the chemical industry unlike the IITs.So, as per my opinion, you should take up ICT if you are a hundred percent sure about having a career in Chemical Engineering. Otherwise, become an IITian. However, I would not recommend you to join any other IIT other than IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur & IIT-Kharagpur.Source: https://www.quora.com/Which-is-better-for-Chemical-Engineering-ICT-or-IITHope this will help .
