Well, Yes fees concession allows in various college hostels for SC/ST students.

Hostel facilities are not free for SC/ST students in all colleges and they are different for each and every government college . The Hostel fees & facilities are different for college to college.

Also , there are several category of fee waiver such as obc/sc/st/pwd, you may also have a fee waiver on the basis of your family's annual income. Fee waiver is given to those students whose annual family income is less than 4.5 lakh.

Like in JNU all SC (Boys and Girls) except residents of Delhi will be provided hostel . The SC/ST/PH students are exempted from payment of hostel fee (room rent). This is applicable only to those SC/ST/PH students who are not in receipt of fellowships/ scholarships and whose parents/guardians income is under Rs. 75,000/- per annum.

I hope this was helpful.
