Yes there are government jobs in computer science .we need to work hard for government jobs. There are so many government jobs available in computer science engineering . The list of government jobs in computer science engineering are BHEL ,ISRO, DRDO, UPSE, NIC, SAIL, MTNL . So government jobs are available in computer science .

According to your query, first of all get yourself cleared that the branch you are going to choose has a great scope in terms of placements and exposure nowadays. In every college today the highest paid branches are computer engineering or Information technology branch. Tlking about the governement jobs then frankly speaking today CS engineer get the job at very first instant in interview and out government sector is flooded with C.S recruits and many more vacancies in computer engineering branch only.
