There is negative marking in NIFT entrance exam as there are two types of test takes place one is general aptitude test which consists of 150 questions while another is creative ability test which is all about your skills in drawing and they give you on spot topic and you have to make drawing or model at that time . They will provide you with all the material at that time .So there is no negative marking.

- Yes, there's negative marking in NIFT entrance exam and it is for GAT section. There will be 0.25 negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The written test of NIFT 2020 consists of Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), which evaluate the knowledge, abilities and design aptitude of test takers. Candidates who wish to take admission in B.Des. have to take both - CAT and GAT, while those looking for admission in B.F.Tech programme have to sit for GAT only. The qualified candidates in both CAT and GAT have to appear for situation test.
- GAT section will consist of questions from various sections namely quantitative ability, English comprehension, communication ability, analytical ability, Current affairs and G.K, while NIFT 2020 exam pattern for CAT will probably include three questions, which candidates have to answer in three hours.
