Dear student
There are two ways by which one can join architecture.
1. NATA : NATA scores are valid only for private colleges
2. JEE: your jee scores are acceptable for private as well as government colleges.
so its up to you whether you wanna go for option one or two. However NATA has a very high importance in the field of architecture. You can join colleges through JEE as well as NATA but NATA is given a special preference. I myself am an architecture student and have secured a college through JEE.
Since NATA paper has a huge weightage of drawing, abstract and aesthetic sensibility, it is given more importance than any other exams. You can join b.arch without NATA only if you are getting into some IIT or NIT through JEE.
both the exams have an equal importance in the field of arch. You can either appear for one of them or both. Appearing for both, however, will give you the upper hand.
Hope it helps
Thank u !!!
