As far as IITs, NITs and IISC are concerned, GATE is the only way to persue Mtech except you are graduated from IIT(in that case you dont need to give GATE for Mtech but you CGPA should be above 8.0).



There are various institutes in India which take admission without a GATE score-

• Manipal Institute of technology

• Amity University

• BITS pilani

• VIT university

• IIIT hyderabad. ETC!!

• ISM dhanbad also take admission through its own entrance exam.
