HI aspirant,
You are advised to go through the eligibility conditions to become the drug inspector.
Aspirants must be graduates from B.pharma or medicine with specialization in clinical Pharmacology/ Microbiology.
Candidates must note that for joining B. Pharmacy or equivalent course one must pass their class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects.
Additional 18 months experience in manufacturing or testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs is also asked in UPSC but is not mandatory.
Aspirants after completing their 4 years bachelors degree in Pharmacy course can either opt for M.Pharmacy course or they can sit for an Entrance Exam conducted by UPSC, Staff Selection Commission or different state service selection boards to be selected as a drug Inspector at State Government enterprises. Aspirants who clear the computer based recruitment test (CBRTs) will be called for an interview.
