BSc Botany or Bachelor of Science in Botany is a 3-year undergraduate degree course, which deals with the study of plants and their physiology. The eligibility criteria for this is that the candidate needs to pass their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry Mathematics or Biology .The minimum percentage required in 10+2 may vary college wise. The range of percentage required for admission is 55% to 60%. . There are some colleges that offer admission on the basis of merit such as Miranda House College, Hansraj College, Fergusson college. In some other colleges such as BHU, Christ University, the admission is through the entrance exams conducted by the respective universities. BHU UET, OUAT, GSAT are some of the entrance exams for botany courses. Besides these there are several other colleges offering B.SC Botany courses. The amount of diversity in the field of Botany gives the students to choose their specializations as per their choice, aptitude and interests. There is huge scope of being a part of this industry merely keeping in mind the amount of diversity that the course has to offer.
