Hello Gautam, engineering is a field which is constantly required by the human kind for its development and improvement of life, I hope every branch of engineering has its own scope and the scope cannot be changed with time, the salary by the way depends upon your standards in your educational field and what college you are in, for colleges like IIT's and NIT's, the packages would be very good as they are top rated universities and good MNC's visit them, some regional colleges may not have that oppurtunity. We cannot say that the salary would be hiked, but surely, the salary would be good if you are perfect enough for the job.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.
