No, not at all. The cut-off is based on total marks including marks of both paper 1 and paper2 .
However, the cut-off is subject wise too. You should clear cut-off of all three subjects irrespective of paper 1 and paper2.
Focus on the marks of subjects.For example, Even if you score 0 in paper 1 of chemistry and 80 in paper 2 of chemistry, your total marks will be 80 and this total score will decide whether you have cleared the cut-off or not.
