There is no such specified subject condition in case of admission in any of the UG Culinary Arts courses. So a student from any stream in 10+2 with any subject combination can apply for the course of Culinary Arts. Some colleges provides admission on the basis of entrance, although most colleges provides admission on the basis of 10+2 score.

The basic eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Candidates should have passed the 12th board exam from any recognized board.
- While for some colleges interview round can be taken while taking the admission.
- Some colleges also shortlist students by taking an entrance exams like MCHMCT JEE, GNIHM JET and IIHMCA CEE.
