Sorry for answering your question late.Every chapter has importance when it comes to intermediate board exams (intermediate public examinations).The chapter areas comes under definite integration unit and is not only important for your board exams but also for your entrance examinations.You can either expect a 4marks question or a 7 marks question from that chapter.You will be asked to find the area covered by the curve or to find the area occupied by giving a equation of the curve along with some conditions.I suggest you to concentrate on this chapter for good score in both ipe and entrance examinations.I hope your query is answered.
