If your question is regarding the 10% reservation for the Economically Backward Class among the Upper Castes, the Parliament has passed the bill but the actual implementstion rules need to be still worked on. The States will have to define 'Backwardness'and then work on the mecahnism of rule implementation. While it has been announced that this reservation will be in force from this Accademic year, nothing is clear yet. However, if you belong to EBC, we would suggest you to get those necessary documents to avail this benefit.
Also let me update you that the cutoff marks for the 85% state Quota seats is above 490 and can range upto 560 or above. If the EBC reservation does not work out then looking for private colleges will be a better option.
