there are many engineerning colleges all over india.. diiferent colleges are good in different streams. probably IIT,NIT, VIT uneversiTy, AMRUTHA UNIVERSITY, IIITs etc are top in INDIA.

Definitely there are very good colleges for Engineering.I will just give a brief idea of colleges in abroad.They are MIT(Massachussets Institute of Technology), Stanford University etc.If we see particularly in India first comes IIT's(Indian Institute of Technology) then BITS(Birla Institute of Technology) then comes NIT's(National Institute of Technology) and then comes IIITH(International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad) then comes IIIT's(Indian Institute of Information Technology).Later comes VIT(Vellore Institute of Technology)

( CS , ECE -- this one has to be your preference)

( the other two campuses are relatively new but will reach standards very soon)

• IIT'S ,NIT'S & Gfti's all of these takes admission on basis of your jee mains and jee advanced score..
• Bits ,Vit & srm takes admission on basis of their entrance examinations which are conducted every Year.
• Cusat is also an entrance test which will fetch you Cochin university of science and technology,Kerela it is also a good college.
• You can also apply for Comedk,Colleges like Rv college,MSRIT,BMSIT are some of the best colleges through comedk.
• Other than this every state is having their state engineering entrance exams ,you should apply for your state one too and you can get some colleges in your state..
• Many private universities  & colleges such as Thapar University,Amity university ,LNMIT,HBTU Kanpur takes admission on basis of their entrance tests & also on basis of Jee marks ,you can apply for them too..
