Hello.



Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly Indraprastha University, is a public state university located in Delhi, India. It was established in 1998 by Government of Delhi, as a teaching-cum-affiliating university. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission, under section 12B of the UGC Act.



After the declaration of IP University Results, short listed candidates will be called for IP University Counselling during which the admission procedures will be conducted. Candidates will be required to deposit a Counselling participation fee of Rs 1000 (non-refundable). IP University Counselling will be conducted in three rounds and will include steps like choice filling, seat allotment, fees payment, freezing of allotment, and withdrawal of admission. Some programmes will have online IPU counselling rounds while the rest will hold the counselling rounds offline. In case of any vacancy after the IPU Counselling,



IP University Counselling : Counselling Procedure



The online counselling procedure consists of the following steps:



1) Counselling Participation Fee- To appear for the counselling of IP University , candidates must pay a counselling participation fee of Rs 1000 (non-refundable). Candidates can either make a cash payment (challan) or resort to Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card.



To pay the participation fee of IP University Counselling , visit the university website and select the option, payment of counselling participation fee.



Enter the CET details i.e., CET Roll No, Date of Birth and Mobile Number.



Choose the suitable mode of payment (online or offline).



After checking the payment status, it is advisable to printout the online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details for all future reference. In case of offline payment, the copy of the Challan after depositing the fees must be retained.



In case of any problem regarding payment of fees, candidates can contact the Helpdesk of GGSIPU.



2) Registration- After confirmation of receipt of the Counselling Participation Fee, candidates must register for the specific CET code within the Registration period notified on the website.



In case of Payment of Fee through Challan, registration can be done only after two working days of cash deposited in any branch of Indian Bank.



To register, enter CET and personal /academic /contact details (with address, mobile no. & email ID) details in the admission website.



Remember the login ID and password issued during the registration process, and keep it confidential.



Two copies of the Registration Form must be printed out. One for submission at the time of document verification and one for retainment by the candidate for future reference.



3) Choice Filling- This step is compulsory for allotment of seats.



After registration, fill the choices for allotment, from the list of all the possible combinations of the institutes and courses available.



These choices/preferences of the candidate will be used for allotment of seat.



It is advisable to fill maximum number of choices to increase the chances of getting admission in IPU.



4) Seat Allotment



Results of seat allotment can be checked by the candidates by logging in the university website using the login ID and password given during the registration process.



The Provisional Allotment Letter must be downloaded and printed out within the specified period.



Payment of Academic Fee of Rs 40,000 to confirm the to confirm the allotment and participation in the subsequent round of counselling. The payment can be conducted online or offline.

5) Freezing of Allotted Seats- After every round of Counselling, the candidate will get an option of freezing his/her seat if he/she is satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and does not want to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling for upgradation.



6) Withdrawal and Fee Refund- After depositing of Academic Fees, if a candidate wants to withdraw the admission against the allotted seat, he/she can click on the withdrawal option available in his/her account in the admission website within the specified time. Then the particular candidate will not be considered in the subsequent round of online counselling except Spot Counselling.



7) Last Round of Allotment of Seats- In this step, the seats (region-wise and category) wise shall be converted to unreserved category after seat allotment of the reserved category.



8) Sliding of Allotted Seats- Candidates who have been allocated seats before the sliding round and who paid the part academic fee of Rs 40,000 and did not withdraw their admission nor freeze the allotted seat, shall be eligible for this round. The sliding round is also based on the preferences already entered by the candidates in the online counselling system.



9) Reporting to the Allotted Institutes/Colleges- Candidates are required to report in the respective colleges with their Admission Slip, the Provisional Allotment Letter, the Academic Fee Receipt and other necessary documents for verification, and pay the balance amount of fees (if any).



10) Spot Counselling- In case of vacancy, the admission authority can hold Spot Counselling round in offline mode.
