Lots of students from different parts of India come to study in Bengal in universities like Jadavpur , Medical Colleges(Calcutta , RG KAR etc). So there is a possibility for you to get a Malayali Student. In bengal , apart from bengali people understand english as well as hindi. So you will not have that much of a problem communicating with people. Different food markets , hotels are present which will suffice you if you miss your regional food.
So there is no need to worry about it. Congratulations! you got a nice college.
