There is no percentage limit for appearing the GATE exam based on the GATE official website information. You should be completed B.E or pursuing final year with the pass marks is enough. But the GATE score accepting institutes will require marks above 50%. So search based on your target institute and do well in exams.

No their is no percentage criteria for GATE exam. The only requirement is that you should have completed your degree from a recognized University or currently in final year.
