Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, West Bengal is a very old government institution established in 1856. The institute is approved by UGC and AICTE. Apart from a 2-year full-time MBA program, the institute also offers B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech and M.Sc programs.
As per the official website of the institute, students are provided on and off-campus placements. There are many companies who visit regularly to hire students from the institute. Some of the major recruiters mentioned are Aakash Institute, Adobe, Amazon India, Aircon, Axis Bank, BHEL, Blue Star, Capgemini, Daikin, Essar, HSBC, IBM, ITC, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Capital, etc.
I would suggest you talk to alumni if possible. It’ll give you a clear idea about the institute and placements.
