Hello Bharath,
Above mentioned private colleges are some of the best private colleges in India. They are not bad at all. If, you don't get a significant score in JEE(main/advance), don't mind joining any of these colleges.
I'd rank them as following
1. BITS Pilani(pilani campus>Goa campus>Hyderabad campus)
2. MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
3. VIT
3. SRM
See, BITS Pilani is far better than half of IITs and 20 NITs, It competes with top5 NITs and 4-8 ranked IITs. It's an outstanding institute. Except BITS Pilani, I would place above mentioned colleges with some of NITs(20th-30th ranked & 5 IITs from Bottom). Life is not about getting into IITs/NITs, but having a good time there and performing accordingly as well. So, before joining any college make sure that you are compatible with climate, food, and language, and so many other important aspects.
Thank you
Hello Aspirant,
IIT's and NIT's are undoubtedly the best for engineering.Their reputation and standard is far greater than other institutes. When you consider other colleges mostly even core engineering students(EEE,Mech etc) get placed on software companies but when it comes to IIT's and NIT's there are excellent placement opportunities in both core and software fields with high packages. So if you get a seat at IIT's or NIT's don't miss it.
Hope this helps.
All the best!!!
Hi Bharath!
IITs and NITs are government funded institutions that are definitely better than any private college in India. However there are certain IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs that have a rank below some private Institutes due to placement of some students from that college. Anyway the average placement percentage of any government institution is better than all the private colleges. Also it depends on your own capability no matterwhat institute you get admitted to. If you have a decent rank in JEE Mains or Advanced then you should opt for IIT or NIT and IIIT.
All the best!
