Dear Aspirant,
Yes, it will affect your placement in different companies. The recruiters will ask you why you have taken 2 years drop in your career if you have the answer then it's positive. if you don't have that will not affect the your impression on the recruiters. If you have made IIT or NIT then it will affect you but if your colleges are State level that it will hamper your placements.
