UPSC is the Union Public Service Commission, It conducts various exams to give jobs in various public sector. The most common exams are the Civil services, NDA, ESE, CDS. The Civil services exam also known as UPSC CSE is the exam conducted to select civil servants which includes IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS. To become IAS officer, you have to give UPSC CSE. UPSC CSE is compulsory to become an ias. Without it, you can't become an IAS.
